What Business Premium gives you for Apple

Business Premium bundles Microsoft Intune Plan 1 (full device management for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Windows and Android), Microsoft Entra ID P1 (Conditional Access and stronger identity controls), Microsoft Defender for Business, and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1. For Apple specifically, that covers zero-touch enrolment through Apple Business Manager, compliance policies, FileVault encryption, app deployment, and Platform SSO, which relies on Entra ID P1 being present.

The 300-user rule

The Microsoft 365 Business family is capped at 300 seats per tenant. If your organisation has, or is heading past, 300 users, you move to an enterprise plan such as Microsoft 365 E3 or E5, which also include Intune and carry no user cap.

When you outgrow it

Beyond the user cap, you might move to enterprise licensing if you need advanced Intune capabilities that Plan 1 does not include, such as deeper analytics or endpoint privilege management. For most small and mid-sized Australian businesses running Apple or hybrid fleets, Business Premium covers the ground.
